Kristine,

We currently don't offer best practices per se .. however, if you sign-up for Flowtown - we provide a 5 day video series to help get you on your way. These short videos demonstrates the various aspects of our solution and how to maximize your experience.

Cheers,
Dan

that distinction makes sense. the "geeky early adopters" don't know your market fit as well as those in your target market. i like it.

can we turn GEA into a common acronym from here on out? ;)

Dan,
This is great. So many early startups are overwhelmed at the thought of engaging their first users - and it's so critical. I like that Flowtown provides a way to easily engage these users.

When resources are (almost) none and there is much to do, having a mechanism/tool to reach out "intelligently" is such a value. It never should be on auto-pilot, but having the tools to guide a busy entrepreneur is what's needed.

Does Flowtown include best-practices as part of the offering?

Adam, thanks!

re: CAB inclusion - these people are typically users/customers that match your target market and have expressed an interest in providing feedback. It's important not to include uber geeky early adopters (as they'll typically ask to be on the list) and instead find those that reflect your target market.

It's definitely not a perfect science but more of an art ... having a list is step #1.

Thanks for the comment.

don't worry about being "self-serving"...i'd rather hear how a founder uses his own service than being left in the dark!

question: i love the premise, but what are the stipulations for inclusion on a CAB? are there certain requirements or is this just a fancy way to show how you value your evangelists?

thanks in advance dan!
