00:01:23.600 thing is to get in a better shape, then
00:01:25.360 you might go work out every day and eat
00:01:27.600 better food. Last, we have to say no to

00:01:59.280 vacation. Everybody else slows down.

00:02:03.360 time. Take those two times a year and
00:02:05.759 create separation from everybody else.

00:02:14.160 you in your car of life can floor it.

00:02:22.480 separate yourself. First, that first 90
00:02:25.120 minutes, that is what I consider the
00:02:27.360 deep work. That is where you separate
00:02:29.200 yourself from everybody else. That is
00:02:30.640 where you get focused on your number one
00:02:32.800 priority. Whatever problem is in your
00:02:35.040 life, maybe you don’t feel fit or you
00:02:36.800 don’t have love or you want to make more
00:02:38.319 money. That has to be the first 90
00:02:40.879 minutes of that day. You have to give
00:02:42.400 yourself the gift of being intentional
00:02:44.800 and focused on you getting that reward.
00:02:47.040 Next, we have to skip the party. Don’t
00:02:49.360 lose your early morning productivity
00:02:51.040 because you stay up later than you
00:02:52.560 should when you should have been
00:02:53.760 recovering because now is the time to
00:02:55.680 actually go hard in the paint. And
00:02:57.280 finally, pick one weekend day to double
00:03:00.160 your key habit. I consider the weekdays
00:03:03.120 when I get done, the weekend when I get
00:03:06.000 better so I can have more leverage to
00:03:07.920 get more things done. Weekends is when
00:03:09.840 you actually double down. For me, it’s
00:03:11.840 Saturdays. I practice my prompt
00:03:13.680 engineering. I use it to improve my
00:03:15.440 skills. I work on the skills that make
00:03:17.519 me more valuable so that I can be more
00:03:19.440 valuable to people in my life. And if
00:03:21.280 you do these three things, you will
00:03:23.200 create separation from everybody else.

00:03:26.480 separation, it’s time to set your daily
00:03:28.239 rituals. Step number three, set daily
00:03:31.440 non-negotiables.

00:03:37.360 have these five daily non-negotiables,
00:03:39.120 but I want to keep this really simple
00:03:40.720 and easy for you. So I’m going to teach
00:03:42.159 three of them, but essentially there’s
00:03:43.680 zero days off. If the day ends with DAY,
00:03:47.120 they do these because I want to create a
00:03:50.159 rhythm of success. When you can live
00:03:52.400 your life in momentum, you want to fight
00:03:54.319 to stay in it because things are
00:03:56.080 exponentially and geometrically more
00:03:58.080 powerful. It’s like putting your clothes
00:03:59.519 on. You don’t debate it, you just do it.

00:04:41.919 component in my life. But I’ve learned
00:04:43.280 that a body emotion stays emotion.
00:04:45.520 Number two is your mind. What’s one to

00:04:49.840 mind? For me, I have to read. I have to
00:04:52.240 read at least 10 pages. I look at it
00:04:54.080 like I’m mining for something I can give
00:04:56.160 back to the world. I want to be
00:04:57.840 learning. I want to be meditating. Those
00:05:00.160 are things that help me create awareness
00:05:02.320 of this life I’m living in so that I can
00:05:04.560 be better for the people around me. The
00:05:06.320 third is business. Think of the one or
00:05:07.919 two habits that you could add in your
00:05:10.000 business to move it forward. Think about
00:05:11.919 the marketing activities, the daily
00:05:13.759 outreach, the sales calls. For example,
00:05:16.080 one of the things I make every one of my
00:05:17.759 clients do is post three stories a day.
00:05:21.360 Three times a day. I want them to pull
00:05:22.639 out their phone, talk to their phone.
00:05:24.080 It’s really awkward. And post those on
00:05:26.320 their stories on Instagram, on Facebook,
00:05:28.479 on Tik Tok. I actually don’t care where
00:05:30.320 because it’s the process of doing it. It
00:05:32.880 helps their business. It helps them
00:05:34.479 grow. It helps them overcome their fear
00:05:36.400 of learning to communicate or creating
00:05:38.400 content and that pushes them outside
00:05:40.960 their comfort zone. For most people,
00:05:42.800 it’s improving their business
00:05:43.919 relationships. For other people, it
00:05:45.280 could be marketing, trying to figure out
00:05:46.560 how do you get your message about what
00:05:48.160 you do in the right places. Could be
00:05:49.840 just shaking more hands. You know, the
00:05:51.600 more hands you shake, the more money you
00:05:52.880 make. I don’t know what it is for you,
00:05:54.000 but think about the two habits in your
00:05:55.440 business that can move it forward. one
00:05:56.720 or two habits for your mind, your body,
00:05:58.800 and your business. Anybody can do this.
00:06:00.960 With your habits locked in, it’s time to
00:06:03.520 eliminate every single biggest thing
00:06:05.840 holding you back from your goals. Number

00:06:11.440 Excuses are just lies that keep you
00:06:13.360 comfortable. You know, I don’t have the
00:06:14.479 money. I don’t have the relationships.
00:06:16.240 Those are just things you tell yourself
00:06:18.000 to make it okay for not doing something.
00:06:20.479 I get that laying in a warm bed and warm
00:06:23.520 blankets feels really good, but you know
00:06:26.080 what feels great? Living a life of your
00:06:29.360 dreams. And please don’t say, “I’ll
00:06:32.400 start on Monday.” That used to be my
00:06:34.400 move. I would be like, “Saturday ate
00:06:36.479 like a pig. All right, I’m going to
00:06:37.840 start my diet on Monday.” Guess what?
00:06:39.840 You can start a diet halfway through a
00:06:41.680 bag of chips. For me, what happened is
00:06:43.199 Monday became next week and then
00:06:44.960 eventually next month and then
00:06:46.400 eventually next year cuz I never got to
00:06:48.319 it. I kept pushing it off. So, here are
00:06:50.160 my favorite ways to eliminate excuses to
00:06:53.039 make the last month the most productive
00:06:54.880 of the year. First, we have to say our
00:06:56.720 excuse out loud. Give it a name. Like,
00:06:59.039 actually talk to it. You can actually
00:07:00.880 write it down and say, “Oh, this is my
00:07:02.479 excuse.” It’s got a name. Let’s call it
00:07:04.639 Bob. Bob, why are you in my life? I
00:07:06.880 really would like for you to right off.
00:07:08.639 Having that conversation might sound
00:07:10.160 wonky, but when we name things, we then
00:07:12.720 have the ability to change things.
00:07:14.880 Second, we have to ask, does this serve
00:07:17.919 me? Challenge it. What would it mean if
00:07:20.479 I didn’t have this in my life? I like to
00:07:22.960 ask questions like, where did this come
00:07:24.800 from? Who taught it to me? Why do I
00:07:27.039 continuously allow myself to enable this
00:07:29.599 behavior because it’s in my life? When
00:07:31.440 you put a spotlight on it, it starts to
00:07:33.919 dissolve. There’s this great quote that
00:07:35.599 says, “Sunlight sanitizes.” Sunlight,
00:07:38.000 putting attention on it will dissolve
00:07:39.840 it, will clean it up, will get rid of
00:07:41.440 it. And lastly, if you can’t dissolve
00:07:44.400 it, ignore it. It sounds crazy, but I
00:07:46.800 tell people all the time, feel the
00:07:48.400 feelings, have the excuse, fly the
00:07:50.319 plane. See, when people talk about like
00:07:52.240 being courageous or taking action in
00:07:54.560 spite of fear, that’s what courage
00:07:56.639 requires. Courage isn’t I did it.
00:07:58.639 Courage is I’m scaredless right now and
00:08:01.360 I’m going to do it anyway. If you do
00:08:03.520 that, I can guarantee that you’re on
00:08:05.520 your way to make this last month of the
00:08:07.599 year the best month of the year. So, now
00:08:09.680 that your excuses are gone, there’s one
00:08:12.080 more thing holding you back. Step five,
00:08:15.280 cut your time, assassins. Being
00:08:18.240 successful isn’t about what you do. It’s
00:08:21.360 actually more about what you don’t do.
00:08:23.360 When I think about like the ultimate
00:08:25.120 personal development plan, it’s waking
00:08:26.879 up in the morning, asking yourself, scan
00:08:29.280 the previous day and go, out of
00:08:30.720 everything I did yesterday, is there
00:08:32.159 something I wish I didn’t do? But if I
00:08:34.159 then knew what that was and I make a
00:08:35.760 commitment for today to do the thing
00:08:38.320 that I didn’t do or to stop doing the
00:08:40.880 thing that I knew I shouldn’t have done,
00:08:42.640 then today will be a better day. That’s
00:08:44.399 why in my book, buy back your time, I
00:08:46.399 have a whole chapter dedicated to time
00:08:48.320 assassins because I realize it doesn’t
00:08:50.399 even require money to buy back your
00:08:52.320 time. It requires you to stop stealing
00:08:54.640 your time by having these time assassins
00:08:56.959 show up and literally take from you. And
00:08:58.959 if I were to bet one of your time
00:09:01.040 assassins lives in one of these five
00:09:02.959 categories. The first one is
00:09:04.560 notifications. Turn them off. I don’t
00:09:07.279 have notifications on my phone. Look,
00:09:09.040 I’ll literally pull out my phone. No
00:09:11.200 notifications. Don’t need them. Why? If
00:09:14.720 somebody needs to call me, I’ll go check
00:09:16.800 my missed calls. If somebody needs to
00:09:18.160 get a hold of me, I’ll go check whatever
00:09:19.839 I need to check. So, just turn off the
00:09:21.279 notifications. Your focus and attention
00:09:23.360 is worth way more to you than other
00:09:25.360 people’s need to distract you. The
00:09:27.279 second are the vices. Remove them from
00:09:29.360 your life. And the vices aren’t just
00:09:31.680 alcohol, drugs, it could be video games.
00:09:34.959 It could be anything you feel guilty for
00:09:37.920 doing the next day because it took away
00:09:40.080 from you. That’s what a vice is. Third
00:09:41.839 is energy vampires. And this one, I
00:09:44.160 can’t tell you how powerful it is if you
00:09:46.880 add it to your life. To essentially do a
00:09:49.120 friend inventory, look at the people in
00:09:51.120 your life and curate out the ones that
00:09:53.519 take your energy. When I interact with
00:09:55.200 somebody, I ask myself a simple
00:09:56.240 question. Was that easy, light, fun? Did
00:09:59.200 I learn something? If the answer is no,
00:10:01.600 I say no in the future so I can create
00:10:03.120 the space to say yes to somebody I may
00:10:04.880 not even know. Fourth is late nights. I
00:10:07.360 care more about getting up early and
00:10:08.800 having that time to myself than I do
00:10:10.480 staying up late at night. And my
00:10:12.080 favorite thing my mother-in-law always
00:10:13.600 says is nothing great happens after 9:00
00:10:16.160 p.m. anyway, so go to sleep. So, here’s
00:10:18.399 a pro tip. Set an alarm for when you go
00:10:21.279 to bed. Try figing out your go to bed
00:10:23.680 routine, not a wake up routine. Number
00:10:25.839 five is saying yes. Most people need to
00:10:28.959 learn to say no. People have to say no
00:10:30.880 to other folks that are asking them to
00:10:32.240 do things that aren’t in align with
00:10:33.279 their goals. Say no to the distraction.

00:10:37.760 don’t go anywhere. Just say no. And no
00:10:40.720 is a full sentence and it ends with a
00:10:42.560 period. So now that we freed up your
00:10:44.560 time, it’s time to make some progress.

00:11:12.959 gym, tracking my lifts, even if I don’t
00:11:15.920 get stronger, still makes the win there

00:11:26.560 your progress. Every little thing you

00:11:34.480 you will start to make better decisions.
