00:00:59.600 they’re homeschooling. The school said

00:01:06.240 homework. I want them to use AI to
00:01:08.240 learn. So, what I did is I sat down with

00:01:11.760 that’s specific to each kid. It takes
00:01:14.159 the thing that they’re interested in,
00:01:15.920 soccer, by who they want to learn from,
00:01:18.240 Ronaldo, and it teaches them physics and
00:01:20.799 math and English through that lens. Why
00:01:23.119 is that not a good idea? And then when
00:01:24.880 they’re doing the test, 100% 100%
00:01:26.460 [music] 100%. Did that make them dumb or
00:01:28.799 it taught them to learn faster? So, you
00:01:30.799 have to use AI as a helper, not a
00:01:32.880 crutch. Now, once you start using AI to
00:01:35.920 level up, you will start noticing
00:01:38.560 something new. Some of the ideas it
00:01:40.720 presents you, some of the content, some

00:05:17.680 know where the world’s going, to see 18
00:05:20.479 months in the future, to look around
00:05:22.160 corners for our customers. And AI gives
00:05:24.400 you the space [music] to think even
00:05:25.840 bigger. The other day, I’m mountain
00:05:27.360 biking with my friends. As I’m coming
00:05:29.440 down, I have an idea about robotics. And
00:05:31.919 I think about how could I enter and
00:05:33.840 invest and how big of a market could
00:05:35.440 this be in the future. So, I open up my
00:05:37.360 phone, load up Grock. It’s got this
00:05:39.520 version called Heavy. It’s wild to
00:05:41.440 watch. literally execute a 100 AIS at
00:05:44.160 once doing research for you and [music]
00:05:45.919 coming back. So, I craft the prompt
00:05:48.000 asking it for research and history
00:05:50.479 examples and what could it mean and how
00:05:52.639 many units and what would it be priced
00:05:54.000 at and how much money that whole market
00:05:56.240 could be over the next 5 to 10 years.
00:05:58.240 And it went off for 27 minutes and came
00:06:00.800 back and gave me an answer. That answer
00:06:03.039 allowed me to enter in [music] as an
00:06:05.039 investor in the robotic space with a ton
00:06:07.440 of confidence backed by data. It gave me
00:06:10.160 the data, but I had to have a vision for
00:06:12.880 action. [music] That’s still on me. So,
00:06:15.039 this is how you build your vision
00:06:16.160 muscle. First off, you have to block out
00:06:18.240 time to actually [music] do deep
00:06:20.160 thinking. Every week, you should have a
00:06:22.000 block time called thinking time. And in
00:06:24.319 that time, you literally force yourself
00:06:26.454 [music] to think about the future. Use
00:06:28.479 that space to actually do research. Talk
00:06:31.199 to the AI. [music] Consider it a
00:06:32.960 research co-pilot, a buddy. Most people
00:06:36.319 don’t get any thoughtful outputs cuz
00:06:38.639 they don’t [music] ask it any thoughtful
00:06:40.240 questions. You know, I was hanging out
00:06:41.360 with my buddy Nick. He has a sign
00:06:42.639 company and I was like, "If you’re not
00:06:43.919 looking into robotics, you should." He’s
00:06:45.600 like, "What? Why would I want to look
00:06:47.039 into robots? I have a sign company. Ask
00:06:49.440 AI."
00:06:51.280 Next thing you know, he’s going to
00:06:53.039 freaking Brazil to the number one
00:06:54.880 robotics event for sign companies. If
00:06:57.280 you don’t use it to help the craft your
00:06:59.199 vision, you can’t build that muscle. And
00:07:01.039 that’s why you have to create time to
00:07:03.280 actually think about it. Number two is
00:07:05.039 we want to study breakouts outside of
00:07:07.440 our industry. If you already know what
00:07:09.520 you know and everybody else knows what
00:07:10.960 you know, then where’s the innovation?
00:07:12.479 Where’s the breakthroughs? When you look
00:07:13.840 at the examples like Henry Ford learning
00:07:16.720 the whole assembly system by watching
00:07:19.599 the meat packers in Chicago and he
00:07:21.440 applied it to cars, that’s where the
00:07:22.880 innovation came from. When I look at my
00:07:24.720 life, I’m [music] taking inspiration
00:07:26.319 from other industries. I’m taking stuff
00:07:28.479 from media and applying it to AI. I’m
00:07:30.960 looking at music producers and saying,
00:07:32.479 "What can they teach me about creating
00:07:34.160 software?" Do you see how like crazy of
00:07:35.919 a connection? Yet, it is all connected.
00:07:38.000 You’re not going to find the innovation
00:07:39.520 and the [music] cross-section if you’re
00:07:40.639 not out there studying them. And last,
00:07:42.479 you have to use AI to pressure test your
00:07:44.639 assumption and [music] ideas. One of my
00:07:46.400 favorite use cases is to put the audio
00:07:48.960 version where I can talk to it, that
00:07:50.319 little blue bubble in in Chad GBT, and
00:07:52.319 I’ll go for a run and I’ll talk to it
00:07:54.240 while I’m running. And then what I do is
00:07:56.240 I use it to help me project scenarios.
00:07:59.680 I’ll say, "What if this? What if I chose
00:08:01.440 to do this? What if I sold this company?
00:08:03.280 What if I decided to do this? What if I
00:08:05.120 transferred people around?" And the
00:08:06.670 [music] more you talk to it, the more
00:08:08.400 you’ll hear it reply back to you. It’ll
00:08:10.400 teach you how to think about vision. And
00:08:12.720 then you can even say, "Hey, I feel like
00:08:14.319 I think too small. Force me to think
00:08:16.160 bigger." And it’ll ask you questions
00:08:17.919 that’ll get you to think bigger. Your AI
00:08:19.840 can be your partner in learning how to
00:08:22.080 think with more vision. Do you know Chad
00:08:24.080 GPT? You can actually ask it to send you
00:08:26.160 a daily summary on anything. and I have
00:08:28.720 it analyze a previous day top trending
00:08:30.960 news or things I need to know about
00:08:32.215 [music] as an AI investor and then when
00:08:34.320 I go to the gym I hit the play button so
00:08:35.919 it reads it to me every day AI is
00:08:38.240 keeping me [music] fresh with new ideas
00:08:40.000 so I can think about the vision and how
00:08:41.760 those things could be connected if you
00:08:43.440 do this you’ll allow yourself to look
00:08:45.600 way out into the future rather than
00:08:47.680 staying stuck in your today being able
00:08:50.080 to visualize the future it is a
00:08:52.080 superpower but even the best ideas die
00:08:55.120 if people don’t want to help you execute
00:08:57.106 [music] them see there’s a shift that
00:08:58.399 will transform you from an individual
00:09:00.320 with just ideas into someone who people
00:09:02.480 trust to implement them. [music] Which
00:09:04.320 takes us to our fourth mindset shift,
00:09:06.480 care. AI can mimic intelligence. It does
00:09:09.360 that really well. But it can’t mimic
00:09:11.680 genuine care. Care is people feeling
00:09:14.720 that you want to see them win, not just
00:09:16.959 yourself. You can’t solve real problems
00:09:19.839 if you can’t see [music] through their
00:09:21.519 eyes. And the best entrepreneurs can do
00:09:23.760 that. AI can’t do that. And the coolest
00:09:25.839 part is the easiest way to show care to
00:09:28.480 somebody else is to make other people’s
00:09:30.480 needs your own. See, most people don’t
00:09:32.959 understand the most valuable companies
00:09:34.560 in the world. Nvidia has created 28,000
00:09:38.080 millionaires. Microsoft 12,000
00:09:40.480 millionaires. Jeff Bezos only owns
00:09:42.956 [music] 8 to 9% of Amazon. The company’s
00:09:45.760 worth $2.24 trillion, which means that
00:09:48.880 91 92% of the money ever made by Amazon
00:09:52.240 made other people rich. So, if you truly
00:09:54.720 want to be successful in this new AI
00:09:57.120 era, then you caring for other people
00:10:00.560 will make you different because
00:10:02.320 everybody can use the AI tools, but
00:10:04.240 you’re going to use the AI tools. Plus,
00:10:05.760 you’re going to show up and [music] make
00:10:06.800 it about them. In a world of infinite
00:10:09.120 outputs, care is the ultimate input.
00:10:11.600 Here’s how you strengthen your care as a
00:10:13.360 leader. First off, [music] get to know
00:10:15.200 your people. Get to know your clients.
00:10:17.120 Get to know your community. You know,
00:10:19.120 every time I interview somebody, I
00:10:20.480 always ask them the same questions. In
00:10:22.320 five years, you’re waking up, you’re
00:10:23.920 living your dream life. What does it
00:10:25.360 look like? If I can understand their
00:10:27.519 dreams and goals, then I can figure out
00:10:29.519 how to align ours as a company to
00:10:31.920 theirs. And then they wake up every day
00:10:33.760 pushing themselves forward. I don’t ever
00:10:35.680 have to remind them. Be specific. I want
00:10:38.480 to ask them about their family, their
00:10:40.160 personal life, their desires. When they
00:10:42.079 say they want to buy a dream home, I
00:10:43.920 want to know where and what it looks
00:10:45.440 like. The second thing is always ask for
00:10:47.680 feedback by trusted people. My rule is I
00:10:50.959 can’t get better if I don’t know ways to
00:10:53.040 get better. I can’t give feedback if I
00:10:55.360 don’t ask for feedback [music] first. So
00:10:57.200 if you have something you want to say to
00:10:58.720 somebody to help them out, first ask
00:11:00.560 them to give you feedback. [music] And
00:11:02.000 that actually shows them that you care.
00:11:04.240 The ultimate form of flattery to
00:11:06.079 somebody is to actually ask them their
00:11:07.600 opinion. If they feel like you care,
00:11:10.240 they’ll care about you. If they feel
00:11:12.640 like you don’t care, they won’t care.

00:11:17.920 last is celebrate them. I can’t tell you
00:11:20.480 how many entrepreneurs or leaders out
00:11:22.079 there that are like, "Well, if I
00:11:23.279 celebrate, then maybe they’ll take their
00:11:25.200 foot off the gas." It’s like, what are
00:11:26.640 we talking about? Celebrate the
00:11:28.720 milestones. Celebrate the success. My
00:11:31.440 big thing is praise in public. And if
00:11:33.839 you got to criticize, do that in
00:11:35.440 private. Use the tools, Slack, shout
00:11:38.079 them out. If they win really big, maybe
00:11:40.079 share with your whole social media
00:11:41.360 account. Just today, Sam, who’s my
00:11:42.880 creative director, posted a banger video
00:11:44.880 on his page and I took it and I shared
00:11:46.880 it to my audience and I said, "Follow
00:11:48.720 Sam." I want people to see what
00:11:51.120 excellence looks like and I want him to
00:11:52.800 know I appreciate [music] that stuff.

00:11:58.640 thing. The whole point of business is to

00:12:03.360 to be rich, guess what? You’ll go

00:12:38.880 and then reaching over and still putting
00:12:40.560 your hand on the steering wheel. It’s
00:12:41.920 like let it do the work. Winners treat
00:12:44.480 AI like a team [music] they direct. A
00:12:47.200 few months ago, I had a leadership
00:12:49.279 training and at the end of it, I was
00:12:50.880 very clear with my whole team. Every
00:12:53.040 person in the company had weeks to
00:12:55.839 demonstrate to me how they could get AI
00:12:58.320 to do 92% [music] of their work. And
00:13:00.560 trust me, that one confused people,
00:13:02.800 scared people, and really worried
00:13:04.560 people. But I needed them to hear it.
00:13:06.560 There’s no future [music] where AI can’t
00:13:09.279 do your work. So if you can’t figure out
00:13:11.279 where it can support you at 92% and you
00:13:14.160 become the director and it’s the doer,
00:13:15.834 [music] then you’ll always be behind
00:13:17.839 where we need to be as a team. AI will
00:13:20.320 always be consistently more productive
00:13:22.720 doing. It doesn’t sleep. It doesn’t take
00:13:24.959 vacations. It doesn’t complain. It
00:13:26.639 doesn’t call in sick. Learn to set up
00:13:28.639 the automations. Be the director, not
00:13:31.440 the doer. So here’s how you become the
00:13:33.680 best director in your work. First off is
00:13:35.839 we use the 108010 rule. At the end of
00:13:38.240 the day, the first 10 is 10% ideation. I
00:13:41.440 want to sit down with my team, maybe my
00:13:43.120 mentor. I want to collaborate. I want to
00:13:44.880 ideulate. The other 80% is the doing.
00:13:47.920 That is where AI can take whatever you
00:13:50.480 gave it as an input and turn it into
00:13:53.200 almost completed work. That last 10% is
00:13:56.000 that taste we developed earlier. It’s
00:13:57.920 where you come in and you give it that
00:13:59.760 final integration into the business.
00:14:01.839 Right? It’s Elon Musk going on stage and
00:14:04.639 presenting the products they built, but
00:14:06.639 the AI did all the execution. Next, we
00:14:09.519 have to switch from [music]
00:14:10.720 push prompting to pull prompting. See,
00:14:13.360 most people get out of AI essentially a
00:14:16.480 mirror of what they ask for. Innovation
00:14:19.120 can’t happen if [music] you’re kind of
00:14:20.880 guiding it based on your questions where
00:14:22.800 you want it to go. So, instead of
00:14:24.399 telling AI how to do it, tell it what
00:14:27.040 you need and have it ask you the [music]
00:14:28.800 questions so that it can do it for you.
00:14:30.880 AI has more information, more context,
00:14:32.959 more wisdom than you’ll ever be able to
00:14:34.720 even potentially remember in your brain.
00:14:36.560 So, you got to actually have it guide
00:14:38.720 you to the best outcome. Kind of like
00:14:40.480 fill in the blanks. See, most people do
00:14:42.800 all the work themselves and then go to
00:14:44.639 AI to have it fill in the blanks. I’d
00:14:46.639 much rather have AI do all the works and
00:14:49.440 then I come in and I fill in the blanks.
00:14:51.465 [music] And last, you have to build AI
00:14:53.680 first workflows. Pretty much everything
00:14:55.839 in your life is a workflow. It goes from
00:14:57.920 raw materials to finished goods, from
00:14:59.600 idea to some kind [music] of output. And
00:15:01.519 if you can figure out within there where
00:15:03.279 you have bottlenecks and you can learn
00:15:04.959 the AI tools to automate [music] that
00:15:07.279 and design it, that is the future of
00:15:09.839 being a director in this AI era. You
00:15:12.399 need to adopt that mindset. AI can teach
00:15:14.959 you how to set up everything. [music]
00:15:16.560 When I was working with my CFO to
00:15:18.240 automate all of our financials, he at
00:15:20.240 first said, "Well, I can’t do it cuz I
00:15:22.000 don’t know how to do it." And I was
00:15:23.120 like, "Write the code to integrate the
00:15:24.800 systems." And he wrote the code.
00:15:26.079 Oftentimes, people are just pretending
00:15:27.839 not to know. The AI can literally write
00:15:30.480 code [music] for you to get anything
00:15:32.160 done. By doing these three things, it’ll
00:15:34.800 allow you to be the [music] director,
00:15:36.959 not the doer, and be successful in this
00:15:39.680 new AI era. When you make this shift,
00:15:41.900 [music] AI stops overpowering you and
00:15:44.639 starts empowering you. That’s how you
00:15:46.880 stay ahead. All that being said, your
00:15:49.680 biggest edge in the AI era isn’t [music]
00:15:52.399 speed or tools. The people that are like
00:15:54.000 nerding on like what model should I use
00:15:55.680 and what tool should I use? They’re
00:15:57.040 missing the whole point. [music] It’s
00:15:58.639 actually becoming the kind of person who
00:16:01.040 thinks clearly, leads boldly, and cares
00:16:04.240 deeply. The humanity of it, people
00:16:06.560 forget it’s human being, not human
00:16:08.800 doing. AI is here to amplify you, not
00:16:11.920 replace you. But you got to learn how
00:16:14.079 you use it to still [music] accomplish
00:16:16.079 things in your world to add value to
00:16:18.560 your customers, to your team, but if
00:16:20.959 anything, [music] give you the time back
00:16:22.639 to be more you. So think about it for
